My name is Jacqueline, but you can call me Jackie. I'm 16 years old, and I'm on a quest to lose this excess weight that I have. It's not that I'm overweight, I'm technically healthy, but it would be awesome to feel great about the way I look in the mirror and not worry that I won't fit into even a size large at a store.
Anyway. Here are my stats :) I'm always looking for inspiration, so ask me anything, follow me and i'll ALWAYS follow back :)
Sooo I’m definitely not fully done with my weight loss yet, but here’s just a snapshot of my weight loss. The first photo is at my high weight of about 140-141 lbs EW, and the second one is at my current weight of 126 lbs. Sorry, the second pic is really shitty quality, my stupid phone :/ Buttt tell me opinions on a) the second dress for homecoming (here’s a better link cuz the pic sucks: http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/include/Zoom.jsp?PRODUCT<>prd_id=845524446234486&FOLDER<>folder_id=282574492145815&bmUID=iHtGvwq
) and whether you can see a difference! please be brutally honest :)
So today I was reading Lucky Magazine while eating my breakfast, and I noticed an ad for some diet pill and it shows a picture of a thin guy and girl “sexily” making out and it says “Being thin is great: Thin is the solution,” and you know I thought about it….but being THIN won’t solve ALL your problems. ok, It’ll definitely solve a few: your health issues, maybe your self-esteem issues, but the problem is…even when you’re THIN, most of the time it doesn’t solve your self- esteem issues. You’ll still sometimes look in the mirror and feel fat, and you’ll still hate your nose (hate to break it to ya, noses don’t shrink much even when you lose weight,) and if you suck at math, you’re not suddenly going to get an A+ in it because your teacher suddenly develops a massive lesbian crush on you since you’re now skinny and decides to give you a better grade. Hell no. My point is BEING SKINNY won’t solve problems automatically. So FOCUS on losing weight, but also focus on becoming a better YOU. That’s not necessarily going to come from being skinny, it’s going to come from being HEALTHY, and from having a healthy self-esteem and a good body image. And don’t just focus on losing weight, LIFE outside of losing weight exists, and you need to think about that, too.
Sorry for this rant everyone. just felt the need to share. anyone agree?
